"Room of Fire"

First place
Philly Game Mechanic's
Melody Game Jam

You awake to find yourself in a small, locked room. Your captor was once your friend, but your drunken lust betrayed the bond of brotherhood. Now, you must find a way to escape the suffocating walls built by his need for revenge. Your fate rests on your interpretation of letters left by a man with a broken heart. Think fast! Your time and air are limited.

"Miss You Game"

Discussion topic for
Philly Game Mechanic's
Extended Show & Tell

Heart-broken. Obsessed. Who hasn't been there? But for millennials, it is excruciatingly difficult to cut the cord and move on from a break-up. This game is about playing out the hypothetical "reach-outs" which range from childishly passive-aggressive to mature apologies. Play. Cry. Love (again).

Kate Scarpetta aka "Bard of Games" shared her experience building this Twine-based game and spoke on the topic of creating branching narrative games with relatable themes. This Q&A discussion was held on September 28th at Drexel University's ExCITe Center.
